PPEC Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager (NM) provides the coordination and supervision of professional and non-professional staff as delegated by, or if in the absence of, the Site Director of Nursing. NM is responsible for being the total quality client / family advocate that supervises the coordination of care in a multi-disciplinary method. The NM is responsible for the coordination of care of the child / family, assessing needs, coordination of appropriate clinical options and facilitating referral to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities and community resources. The NM provides guidance in decision making and leads the center staff in the growth and success of their PPEC facility, under the supervision of the Site Director of Nursing and the Assistant Site Director of Nursing. NM will be familiar with Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state of the designated facility or, if applicable, have a qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office.
• Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.
• Current TB test required.

Conducts sound nursing assessments and utilizes appropriate established guidelines.

Maintains professional responsibilities to remain up to date regarding The Kidz Club (TKC) and keeps all staff informed.
