In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Staff LPN / Cardiology at our Advanced Specialty Institute.
Work Location : Bradenton, FL
As Part Of This Role, You Will
- Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook
- Must be able to float to alternative locations as instructed by your supervisor, with short notice to ensure adequate site coverage.
- Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient / family, and charting. Collaborates with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers.
- Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, and peers.
- Ensures Provider’s orders are directed to the various appropriate departments.
- Knowledgeable and assistance Providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc. Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner.
- Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader.
- Knowledgeable regarding all medical forms (PE, work excuses, proof of pregnancy, etc.)
- Knowledgeable regarding patient-specific reports and logs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of ordered medications and immunizations and their appropriate route of administration.
- Adheres to the medication administration policy.
- Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, EKGs, medication administration, injections, and wound care as directed by the physician or RN.
- Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and diagnostic tests related to cardiac health.
- Assist with cardiac stress testing, Holter monitor placement, and other cardiac monitoring procedures as trained and authorized.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients on medications, cardiac procedures, and lifestyle modifications as instructed by the provider.
Requirements
