The Ryan White Center for Pediatric Infectious Diseases & Global Health at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician . This is an exciting time to join a team of providers and leaders who are committed to clinical and academic excellence.
As a major referral facility, we are responsible for the evaluation and care for nearly 1,000 children annually. Clinical specialists focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care including (but not limited to) meningitis, pneumonia, Kawasaki, fevers, Osteomyelitis, HIV, infections in immunocompromised hosts, HSV, Lyme disease, histoplasmosis, tuberculosis, ect. Our physician teams have a strong culture of collaboration with other pediatric specialty and surgical divisions. Recent significant growth includes increased outpatient clinic footprint, and additional inpatient services for primary infectious disease, general consults, and immunocompromised consults.
Position Highlights
- Full-time, located in Indianapolis, Indiana
- Approximately 80% clinical, 20% academic including protected time for Associate Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship
- Monday-Friday schedule with shared night and weekend call
- Faculty appointment (Assistant / Associate Professor) with the Indiana University School of Medicine
- Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, outpatient clinics, phone consults and educational supervision and instruction of fellows, residents and medical students
