Upstream Manufacturing Scientist - Biologics - Job ID : 246465

We are seeking an experienced Upstream Manufacturing Scientist to join our team in Piscataway, NJ. This is a crucial role responsible for executing mammalian cell culture processes, with a focus on producing recombinant proteins for biosimilars in a cGMP environment. You will work with a collaborative team on engineering and clinical-scale batches from 50 L to 1000 L volumes.

Responsibilities :

• Execute mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operations at multiple scales, specifically working with CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells.
• Perform on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment by collecting and evaluating operating data.
• Review executed manufacturing and packaging batch records, protocols, and other technical documents.
• Initiate and coordinate investigations for issues and deviations found during batch execution.
• Take the lead in following GMP and EHS policies and provide strong technical expertise in cell biology and bioreactor operations.
• Work both independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team member.
