Responsibilities Position is in the Emergency Room of an acute care hospital Standard ER patient population, including trauma, psych, fast track, and occasional OB emergencies 3 12-hour night shifts per week, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Every other weekend or every third weekend required Floating may be required across ED and inpatient units Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1 : 4 Unit includes 2 trauma rooms and 11 exam rooms, 4 of which are fast track Cerner Millennium charting system is used Responsibilities include care for trauma, psych, medical, and fast track ER patients Staffing includes an ER physician 24 / 7 and a PA from 2 PM onward Support from nurse aides and respiratory therapy is available 24 / 7 Scrubs are provided by the facility Holiday coverage is included in the staff rotation Orientation includes 2-3 floor-specific shifts Requirements Current WA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips Experience with ventilators for patient stabilization prior to ICU transfer Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623106.
