The role of the Dentist is to diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums, and related oral structures. Examines patient to determine nature of condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures. Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements. Provides preventive dental services to patients, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth, as well as education in oral and dental hygiene.

Education :
Doctor of Medical Dentistry.
Experience :
As required for certification by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry.
Licensure / Certification :
Certification in BLS, ACLS, licensed to practice dentistry in Kentucky.
