Job Overview :
A leading national litigation firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with experience in general liability and construction defect litigation to join its practice group. This position is available across multiple offices in California and is ideal for attorneys with at least three years of relevant experience who can independently manage complex caseloads. The firm handles a wide range of civil matters, including product liability, toxic tort, local government defense, and commercial litigation. The role offers a hybrid or potentially remote work environment within a supportive, team-oriented culture. Recruitment is conducted on behalf of the firm.
Location : Duties :
- Handle general liability and construction defect matters for local and national clients across California
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial
- Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert witnesses
- Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
- Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and pleadings
- Prepare and file court documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom support
- Maintain accurate and timely billing records
Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in general liability and / or construction defect practice areasStrong background in motion practice and deposition workProven ability to work independently and manage complex litigationExperience taking lead on depositions is preferredEducation :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Active membership in the California State Bar (required)
