About This Role :
As a Demand Planner in a make-to-order, discrete manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for developing dynamic, data-driven demand forecasts that align with customer-specific requirements, production capabilities, and strategic business goals. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Demand Planning :
- Develop and maintain a demand forecast using advanced statistical models, customer order patterns, and market intelligence.
- Integrate customer-specific requirements and engineering lead times into the forecast to support make-to-order production cycles.
- Align demand plans with business strategy, capacity constraints, and financial targets.
Agile Forecasting & Scenario Modeling :
Monitor real-time demand signals and adjust forecasts dynamically to reflect changes in customer orders, market conditions, and supply constraints.Conduct scenario planning to evaluate the impact of demand variability, product customization, and lead time fluctuations.Collaborate with cross functional teams to anticipate demand shifts due to new product introductions, phase-outs, or customer-specific projects.SIOP Leadership & Collaboration :
Lead monthly Demand Review meetings and contribute to Executive SIOP discussions with actionable insights and risk assessments.Drive integration across SIOP to ensure synchronized decision-making and resource allocation.Promote continuous improvement in SIOP processes, leveraging digital tools and analytics.Performance Management & Analytics :
Track forecast accuracy, bias, and demand adherence metrics; develop corrective action plans to improve performance.Provide executive-level reporting and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel dashboards.Support root cause analysis for demand deviations and implement data-driven solutions.Continuous Improvement & Innovation :
Champion demand segmentation strategies to improve forecast granularity and responsiveness.Lead initiatives to digitize and automate demand planning workflows using ERP and advanced planning systems (APS).Collaborate with IT and Data Science teams to enhance predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities.Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree.2+ years of experience with demand planning experience in a discrete, make-to-order manufacturing environment.Preferred Qualifications :
Strong understanding of SIOP methodology and demand planning best practices.Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.ASCM or IBF certification a plusAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Access, and ERP systems (JDE, SAP, or equivalent).Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate insights into actionable plans.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience with demand planning in an engineer-to-order or project-based manufacturing setting.Familiarity with digital planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder).Experience with product lifecycle management and customer-specific forecasting.What You Will Gain :

The base salary range for this role is $65,450.00 - $77,000.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
