FEC plans continued growth as a leader in custom cable manufacturing and seeks an experienced Testing Technician in the Quality Control Department.

The Testing Technician will test cable and wire products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations, including electrical and functional testing. The role requires reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, and adhering to safety guidelines when using high voltage testing equipment.

The ideal candidate is a team player, self-motivated, results-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving. They should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive in communication and collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and electrical tests on cable and wire products.
• Perform functional tests as required.
• Document test results and maintain records in internal databases.
• Identify and report non-conformances or issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow company policies and quality management systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S principles.
• Troubleshoot nonconforming cables and document findings.

Qualifications

Physical Qualifications

Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, stoop, walk, and handle assemblies. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception are required. Use of ITAR-controlled information requires U.S. citizenship or eligible status.
