ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Drives and operates a heavy load hydraulic refuse collection truck
- Assists in loading truck and covers assigned area or route
- Responsible for loading, tarping and unloading truck
- Maintains proper schedule in picking up and hauling garbage and trash to disposal area
- Performs routine maintenance on vehicle including cleaning of vehicle
- Inspects the equipment for mechanical problems and informs supervisor of any problems
- Loads and / or helps load and unload trucks that requires lifting 60 to 125 lbs
- May be assigned to operate other equipment as needed
- Responsible for the care of maintenance of the tarps and other equipment on the truck.
