Summary :
- The Warehouse & Logistics Operator performs a variety of warehousing and logistics tasks supporting shipping and receiving activities.
- This includes inventory management, use of SAP, handling of materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Shipping and Receiving :
Perform various warehousing and logistics tasks related to shipping and receiving.Utilize SAP to receive raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies.Create and apply barcode labels to incoming materials as per receiving procedures.Scan and store materials in designated storage locations.Follow pick list instructions to pull and stage customer orders according to specific requirements.Ensure all shipping and receiving paperwork is neat and organized according to process.Inventory Management :
Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes to maintain inventory accuracy.Double-check item codes and quantities when receiving and pulling orders.Report product loss due to spills or damage.Immediately report and record any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.Regulatory & Safety Compliance :
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation and environmental regulations.Comply with company policies, including EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and OSHA regulations.Report any spills or safety / environmental incidents immediately.Maintain equipment and report any issues to leadership.Equipment Operation & Housekeeping :
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and according to plant safety rules.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Accurately complete all required paperwork.Participate in housekeeping activities to keep work areas in acceptable condition.Work Environment :
Fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and speed are essential.Requires multi-tasking and effective time management due to competing priorities.Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.Comfortable using hand tools, forklift trucks, and other material handling equipment.Requires use of a computer for data management and training.Accountabilities :
Timely completion of assigned tasks.Effective use of problem-solving techniques to reduce waste and errors.Adherence to company and regulatory policies and procedures.Staying up to date with all assigned training.Qualifications & Experience :
High School Diploma or GED.1–2 years of experience in a warehousing or logistics environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read English and perform basic math functions.Forklift and aisle stacker operation experience required.Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).Ability to operate automated and semi-automated equipment.DOT / IATA / IMDG certification for handling hazardous materials preferred.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.Willingness to work off shifts and overtime as needed.
