About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

ICU experience is required.

Neurosurgery experience is preferred.

Candidate must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

License :

Candidate must have a valid nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.

Certifications :

BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.

Must-Have :

Candidate must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient populations.

Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test before clearance to start.

Description :

We are seeking an experienced registered nurse to work on a recently renovated neuroscience critical care unit.

This unit supports both IMC and ICU levels of care.

The RN will care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions.

Conditions include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, and cerebral aneurysms.

Strong critical thinking skills are essential for providing interventions that may include vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring.

The RN will assist with feeding tubes, drains, and frequent assessments.

This role is part of a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to providing expert care in neuroscience.

Travelers may be assigned to multiple units depending on current staffing needs.

Shifts may be re-assigned to another unit if the primary unit no longer has a need.

Weekend and holiday work is required.

Candidates should be prepared to float between units as needed.

Patient ratios are generally 2 : 1 during night shifts.

The unit includes interdisciplinary support from various services, including physical and respiratory therapy.

Daily census averages around 12 patients in a 12-bed unit.

This setting promotes a comprehensive approach to stroke and neurosurgical care.
