Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Youngstown, Ohio (44504) – Ohio healthcare jobs

Facility Setting : Intermediate Telemetry Unit (Stepdown)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 14 / 2026)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Unit Details : 17-bed unit (10 currently open), patient ratio 1 : 4

Support Staff : PCA and Charge RN support, phlebotomy available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in telemetry or stepdown units

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)

Preferred : Experience with cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke / TIA, and post-op patients

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes

Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, insulin)

Monitor and interpret telemetry waveforms; sign telemetry strips

Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, and multiple drains

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and serve as a patient advocate

Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process

Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
