We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our collaborative team in New Brighton, MN.
Responsibilities
- Apply your technical skills in the life science field to support Acceligen's research and developmental programs.
- Work with molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and protein analytical techniques.
- Perform in vitro laboratory work and, if needed, in vivo work at large animal facilities.
- Techniques include : molecular biology (PCR and cloning), DNA / RNA / protein isolation and quantification, DNA sequencing, mammalian cell culture, tissue harvesting, immunohistochemistry, cell sorting, and solution making.
Qualifications
BS / BA in a life science-related field plus one year of related laboratory experience. A combination of education and work experience to equal 4+ years is acceptable.Practical experience in a molecular biology / cell culture laboratory is highly preferred.Exceptional documentation skills (electronic notebook), attention to detail, well-organized and detail-oriented.Solid time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to take direction.Ability to work a standard Monday-Friday work week with additional rotating weekend lab responsibility schedule.Ability to follow established procedures and protocols.This position requires prolonged standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, repetitive hand / wrist activities, and use of a personal computer.Job details
