The compensation for this position is $130,000-136,000 annually.
Job Summary : AccessLex Institute seeks a versatile Senior Project Manager to support the continuous improvement of project and project management practices across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage diverse initiatives ranging from technology implementations to process improvements, organizational change, and strategic business projects. The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals with enough technical acumen to effectively lead cross-functional teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects across various business domains
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for successful project execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
- Facilitate effective communication between executives, steering committees, and project teams
- Perform risk management and develop mitigation strategies
- Create and maintain project documentation and knowledge repositories
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with department heads to understand business needs and translate them into actionable project plansWork with IT teams on technology initiatives while maintaining business focusInterface with vendors and external partners as neededProcess Improvement & Standards
Establish and refine project management methodologies appropriate to project type and scaleDevelop project intake and prioritization processesCreate templates and tools to standardize project deliveryTrain staff on project management best practicesConduct post-project evaluations and incorporate lessons learnedMaintain portfolio view of active initiatives and their interdependenciesOther duties as assignedCandidate Requirements :
Knowledge, skills and Abilities (KSAs). To succeed in the Senior Project Manager position, candidates should possess the following KSAs :REQUIRED
5+ years of progressive project management experience across diverse project types
Proven track record managing business transformation, process improvement, and technology projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellence in stakeholder management at all organizational levelsAbility to quickly understand new business domains and technical conceptsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsExperience with change management and organizational adoptionExperience conducting oral presentations, facilitating project management, and preparing written reports and training guides;Comfortable with technology concepts to effectively manage IT-related projectsProficiency with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)Experience with data analysis and reporting toolsUnderstanding of basic system integration and implementation conceptsAbility to facilitate technical discussions without being the technical expertPREFERREDProject Management Certification (PMP)
Knowledge of risk assessment design and delivery; control design, implementation and monitoring, and key metric development, tracking, and reporting andKnowledge of corporate governance, systems development processes;Background in both waterfall and agile methodologiesExperience managing vendor relationships and RFP processesFinancial services or legal industry exposureKnowledge of compliance and regulatory project requirementsExperience in nonprofit or education sectorsBackground Experiences. The following are required unless otherwise noted :Additional certifications (Agile, Six Sigma, Change Management) a plus
PMP certification strongly preferredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fieldThis is a full-time, remote, exempt position; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. The Company’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 : 15 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
