Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on Higher Ed, Municipal, K-12, and Commercial projects.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of North Carolina or ability to obtain your PE in North Carolina within 6 months.
Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing input on project viability, scheduling, and design team member selection.
Design, review, and advise on design choices.
Assist with sketches and reports, conduct internal reviews, and contribute to final client reports.
Assist in initial design development by creating drawing lists, setting up projects in AutoCAD or Revit, ensuring code compliance, creating engineering drawings, outlining specifications, and conducting quality control checks.
Support Project Management by conducting internal reviews, performing internal approvals, coordinating interdisciplinary efforts, and supporting final design approval.
Conduct final discipline and agency reviews and approvals.
Assist designers and Project Manager in resolving owner comments.
Participate in all necessary aspects of the Project Bidding Phase by assisting in the issuance of bid documents, conducting and / or attending pre-bid meetings, assisting designers with RFI responses, reviewing substitution requestions, and issuing revisions and construction drawings.
Participate in all aspects of the Construction Administration Phase including, but not limited to attending, or ensuring design attendance, to all required meetings, reviewing contractor RFIs and assess necessary revisions, assisting with revisions, as needed, performing final punch list items, and participating in postmortem project review.
