Picture your day : You kick off by consolidating monthly SIOP inputs, aligning demand and supply signals from Business Unit, Global Supply, Operations, and Finance leaders. You guide the team through consensus, then shape the executive SIOP deck that tells the story for the months ahead. By midday, you’re reviewing inventory health—translating annual and monthly forecasts into actionable targets and driving decisions that keep inventory optimal. In the afternoon, you coach the Production Planning and Inventory Control teams, facilitate cross-training, and remove roadblocks. You wrap by advancing a Lean / Six Sigma improvement sprint that streamlines how materials flow across Tennant North America plants.
What you’ll lead
- End-to-end SIOP cycle : compile monthly data, convene cross-functional alignment, and deliver executive-ready SIOP presentations.
- Inventory performance : forecast annually and monthly, report status, and drive corrective actions to achieve optimal levels.
- Team leadership : manage Production Planning and Inventory Control teams; coordinate department-wide training and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous improvement : champion materials process enhancements using Lean / Six Sigma methods; partner with stakeholders to execute CI projects.
- Operational rigor : help design metrics, set targets, and hold the organization accountable for results.
About the role
This position sits within the Materials Management plant team supporting procurement of raw materials, production planning, inventory control, and shipping across Tennant North America plants. You’ll serve as a hands-on people leader and a connector between operations and senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; or 5+ years of equivalent experience in Materials Management, Operations, and / or Supply Chain.Lean and / or Six Sigma certification, or 3+ years leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.Supervisory or management experience (required).SAP experience (required).Prior Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP / SIOP) experience (preferred).How you’ll succeed
