Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Neuro night shift position, requiring a NH or compact RN license and BLS / ACLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital med / surg neuro unit
  • Adult step-down and med / surg patient population
  • Night shifts, 4x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Every other weekend shifts are required
  • Holiday availability is required
  • Navy blue scrubs must be worn
  • Daily responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, coordination with physicians, and implementation of patient care
  • Applicants must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is recommended
  • Local candidates are accepted but will receive a lower local rate
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required

  • Active NH or compact RN license required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of previous nursing experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required
