License : CRT - Radiographer (R) - ARRT

Certifications : RCES, RCIS, ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiology Technologist Program, or Bachelor's in Health Science

Clinical experience in electrophysiology or invasive cardiology procedures

Description :

The Cardiovascular Tech will scrub and monitor procedures in the Cath Lab.

The position involves assessing hemodynamics and cardiac calculations.

Operate equipment and document procedures.

Manage patient preparation and education.

Ensure sterile technique and maintain a sterile field.

Process and save images and perform electrical mapping.

Handle instruments during procedures and prepare access sites.

Evaluate changing conditions during procedures.

Responsible for device pocket closure and taking call for urgent / emergent procedures.

Participate in ongoing process improvement activities and department-level education.

Adhere to unit-based standard work and safety initiatives.

Prepare case tables with necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, labels, and medications / solutions for each procedure.

Perform surgical sponge, needle, and instrument counts.

Communicate and collaborate with patients and healthcare team members.

Monitor patients undergoing invasive and interventional procedures.

Capture and record hemodynamic / physiologic waveforms and perform calculations.

Utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, Shockwave, IABP, Impella, and Atherectomy techniques as needed.

Actively participate in safety initiatives and complete all required competencies in a timely manner.

Perform other duties as assigned.
