About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity starts on Oct 27, 2025, and spans a 30-day assignment, working 12-hour shifts from 12 pm to 12 am, three times per week with every third weekend scheduled. Qualified candidates must hold appropriate certifications and licensure for emergency medicine practice.

  • Schedule : 12 pm to 12 am, three shifts per week with every third weekend; option to add a fourth shift if desired

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medicine care to patients in a clinical setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and initiate treatment for acute and urgent medical conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled

    • Additional Information

  • Iowa nurse practitioner license required
  • Required certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Board certifications required : Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC), Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
