Overview
FT Assistant Stock Crew Manager Trainee (H) – Hannaford Supermarkets. This management trainee program is designed to equip future managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective in this position. Department will be assigned based on store needs.
Responsibilities
- Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
- In the absence of the department manager, manage department operations in accordance with established department standard practices.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with the company's personal appearance policy.
- Recognize associates who deliver great service and coach them to meet expectations when necessary.
- Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
- Maintain solid communication in the department, with the store manager, and throughout the organization.
- Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts consistent with company standards.
- Ensure department compliance with pricing and coding policy.
- Work within the company's management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
- Support company safety standards. Communicate needed equipment repairs or maintenance. Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
- Develop product knowledge in all areas of the assigned department, including product preparation.
- Hold total understanding of the department's Standard Practice manual.
- Ensure proper training of all assigned department associates.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards and the quality of the department's appearance and presentation.
- Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect. Provide recognition of accomplishments and feedback when necessary.
- Perform special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to lead and direct others.Demonstrated willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.Good interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment.Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy.Effective communication and customer service skills.Physical Requirements
Lift cases or packages weighing 1-40 lb. frequently and 100 lb. on occasion.Meet established volume activity standards.Stand or walk 100% of the time.Perform repetitive grasping, twisting, reaching and hand / arm motions.Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials.Use hands to feel objects and operate tools and equipment to cut and prepare products.Frequent bending.Preferred Requirements
Deliver outstanding customer service and use skills and knowledge to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers\' expectations.Direct workflow of assigned department associates.Ensure products produced meet company standards.Oversee assigned areas including rotation of all products.Process administrative paperwork and maintain accurate department records.Order and maintain inventory control to maximize sales and limit shrink.Use judgment in delegation, assignment, and follow-up for efficient department performance.Maintain effectiveness of department staffing, scheduling, and financial results.Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment as outlined by company practices.Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.Salary range is between $17.35 - $24.75 per hour.
