Responsibilities

Clinical Pharmacist

The Clinical Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Clinical Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patients drug therapies and provide drug information. Clinical Pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a Clinical Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy in addition, the Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care services to include advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations; participate in the development and delivery of continuing education programs for Pharmacy, Patient Care Services, Medical staff and students
