SUMMARY : The Operations Production Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and directs a team of hybrid employees. The supervisor is responsible for the daily workflow and ensures that all job functions are completed within assigned time frames. This includes oversight of IRA / HSA processing, exceptions handling, customer / account maintenance transactions, abandoned properties, return mail, IOLA / IOLTA account processing, debit card operations, non-fraud debit card / ACH disputes, and IRS reporting review and correction. The role ensures compliance with regulatory deadlines to mitigate bank losses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following; other duties and projects may be assigned.
- Supervise, coordinate, and direct a team responsible for daily functions within the Operations Production Department.
- Assist management with personnel decisions, including performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations.
- Coordinate departmental workflow to ensure timely completion within regulatory and departmental guidelines.
- Prepare work schedules and assign duties to ensure efficient operation.
- Support other bank areas with customer information adjustments and ledger reconciliation.
- Ensure operational standards align with current regulations and risk mitigation controls.
- Guarantee transaction accuracy and adherence to processing standards.
- Maintain and distribute operational and statistical reports.
- Monitor data input for accuracy and departmental performance metrics.
- Develop and update departmental procedures.
- Cross-train employees on multiple functions to prevent single points of failure.
- Provide excellent service to client-facing staff for customer service needs.
- Assist with audits and special projects, including system upgrades and mergers.
- Participate in re-engineering tasks to improve efficiency.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee testing and data validation for new releases.
- Serve as SME on committees for system changes and upgrades.
- Attend training to stay current with systems and regulations.
- Assist in departmental budgeting and resource planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including AML regulations, and report suspicious activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervise functions, projects, or employees as applicable.Perform supervisory duties in accordance with policies and laws.Support management in hiring, training, and employee development.EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
EXPERIENCE : 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience in deposit operations or retail banking in a large financial institution; commercial banking experience preferred.
