- Frequently move / lift between 25-50 pounds, depending on assignment requirements
- Perform all duties that may require sitting, kneeling, squatting and walking
- Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a Social or Behavioral Sciences discipline
- Three (3) years related work experience and at least two (2) years supervisory experience
- Familiarity with mental health theory and practice
- Proficient technology skills utilizing either a Macintosh or Windows platform, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification
- Knowledgeable and sensitive in working with culturally diverse staff and clients
- Solid knowledge in social helping and a positive approach to complex mental health issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both oral and written.
- Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects
- Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment and confidentiality with sensitive information
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, community agencies, and consumers
OTHER POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must possess a current state driver's license and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check and a physical exam and TB test
