A day in this role

You gear up with PPE, review the day’s Standard Operating Procedures, and bring a CNC machine online to cut metal couplings to precise dimensions for oil and gas applications. You fine‑tune programs for efficiency, swap out carbide cutting tools, and verify critical measurements down to thousandths of an inch using dial indicators and calipers. Throughout the shift, you log measurements both electronically and in writing, update the database from a touchscreen interface (HDMI / HMI), and keep production moving safely and reliably.

What you’ll handle

  • CNC machine operation : Run industrial computer-controlled equipment to cut metal to exact specifications; adjust programs for performance; change carbide tooling with handheld tools; follow written SOPs; use touchscreen interfaces to record data and measurements; apply basic math for inspection calculations; enter data into an electronic database.
  • Inspection : Measure to the thousandth using precise instruments such as dial indicators and calipers.
  • Tool use : Work with inspection tools, air-powered tools, handheld wrenches; operate forklifts as needed.
  • Safety : Follow all safety procedures and guidelines; read and apply Hazardous Energy Controlled Procedures .

  • Starting pay : $21.00 per hour (advancement to $22.00 per hour after qualifying on certain equipment)
  • Bonuses : Quarterly Incentive Bonus Plan after the probationary period

    • What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to work an industrial schedule of 8–12 hour Day and Night shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays
  • Ability to work required overtime
  • Commitment to safety : consistent PPE use (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, boots with metatarsal protection)
  • Punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and repeatedly lift more than 25 lbs

    • Preferred experience

  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, or construction settings
  • Familiarity with forklifts and detailed inspection equipment
  • 1 year of experience preferred

    • Working conditions

  • Non-climate-controlled industrial environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential exposure to hazardous materials
