Automotive Sales Consultant

So, you want to sell automobiles that are known for their quality, reliability and beauty? You're looking for sales professionals to sell cars in our dealership. If you believe being a Sales Consultant is a true craft one built on charisma, communication and thorough product knowledge (we'll happily teach you everything you need to know) we want to talk to you!

As a Sales Consultant at our dealership, you'll be responsible for managing all sales activities. From generating and managing sales leads, you'll be instrumental in helping our team continue our success.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and perform a needs analysis including make, type, and features of vehicle desired.
  • Explain features and demonstrate operation of the vehicle in showroom or on the road.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer database.
  • Work with Sales and F&I Managers and negotiate sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, and discount, and requirements for financing or lease payment of the vehicle.
  • Walk the lot and visually inspect inventory.
  • Complete all paperwork and arrange for delivery and registration of the vehicle.
  • Deliver and familiarize the customer with the vehicle.
  • Attend and complete required training and department meetings.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Ability to speak a second language preferred.
  • One year of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales skills, excellent communication, and customer service abilities.
  • Strong organization and thorough follow-up skills to stay in touch with clients prior to and after the sale.
  • Current valid driver's license required for all employees.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure; working with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
