Job Description

Emergency Medicine Opening in Des Moines, Iowa Details :

  • Full-time Emergency Medicine opportunity serving the central Iowa region
  • Established team of experienced physicians and Advanced Practitioners
  • Advanced scheduling to accommodate work / life balance
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities :

  • 130 hours per month / 13-16 shifts
  • Provider will practice at all locations : Methodist, Lutheran, Methodist West & Grinnell
  • Shift duration varies by location : 12 hours, 9 hours & 8 hours
  • Explicit interest in educating EM residents
  • Expectation to be involved with non-clinical activities : education, scholarly activity and other non-clinical activities which advance departmental and organization goals.
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Qualifications :

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician s field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
