Speech Therapist Needed - Bronx Location

Productivity Standard :

Evaluates and identifies the speech therapy needs of the PWS and provides Speech and Language Habilitation / Rehabilitation services for the patient as ordered by a physician.

  • Treats PWS with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to the area of Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Makes use of therapeutic devices and other equipment to maintain or restore maximum performance of speech and language modalities.
  • Plans, directs and supervises PWS, family and / or significant other in the use of equipment and exercise regimen.
  • Participates in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual patient needs.
  • Contemporaneous documentation using electronic health records
  • Meet productivity expectation
  • Participate in scheduled supervision

Required skills :

  • Master's degree
  • Current SLP New York State License or qualifies for receiving license after completing all requirements
  • Current Certificate of Clinical completion in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or qualifies for receiving certificate after completing all requirements
  • Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
  • A minimum of one year Speech Therapy experience in a health care setting working with individuals with Developmental Delays preferred.
  • Dysphagia experience, a big plus
  • AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Clinical supervision as needed.
  • Abide by the clinical affiliation agreement for interns
