Job Title : Access Control Attendant

Function : Physical Security, Access Control, and Administrative Security Support

Work Location : U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN), Washington, D.C.

Work Schedule : Full Time – 40 hours / week, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (excluding federal holidays)

Clearance Requirement : Must possess or be eligible for DOE Q Clearance with TS / SCI eligibility

Position Summary :

Muscogee Staffing Solutions LLC (MSS), a tribally owned SBA 8(a) and HUBZone-certified small business, is seeking highly motivated and professional Access Control Attendants to support secure operations at DOE-IN Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). This mission-critical position provides physical access control, SCIF visitor management, escort functions, badge issuance, and administrative security support to safeguard national security assets and information. MSS offers an opportunity to contribute to U.S. Intelligence Community security operations in a classified environment requiring discretion, attention to detail, and compliance with DOE and IC protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

Physical Access Control & SCIF Security Operations

  • Maintain physical security at SCIF entrances and access control stations.
  • Authenticate credentials and clearance levels; issue visitor and contractor badges.
  • Monitor, document, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with IC Directive 705.
  • Enforce SCIF security policies, procedures, and entry / exit control protocols.
  • Conduct random inspections and bag checks to detect unauthorized items or behavior.
  • Escort uncleared individuals within SCIFs when authorized.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide administrative security support to the IN Security Division (IN-23), including document tracking, form generation, and SOP development.
  • Assist in the preparation, distribution, and staffing of general correspondence, training materials, and policy updates.
  • Conduct internal quality control and self-inspections; support compliance audits.
  • Support control and distribution of classified or special product materials.
  • Emergency & After-Hours Support

  • Participate in after-hours or on-call coverage in support of physical security needs or ACS maintenance activity.
  • Provide rapid-response access control services with a 4-hour response time when required.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in access control, physical security, or SCIF operations (military, federal, or contractor environment).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and ability to interact professionally with senior government officials and VIPs.
  • Functional knowledge of badge reader systems and SCIF access protocols.
  • Familiarity with DOE, Intelligence Community (IC), or GSA physical security requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience supporting classified federal facilities (DOE, DoD, or IC).
  • Active "Q" Clearance or having held "Q" clearance within a year.
  • Familiarity with IC Badging Systems and PACS.
  • Knowledge of GSA lock and container standards.
  • Emergency action protocol experience.
