Heavy Civil Superintendent (Louisville)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee heavy civil and utility construction projects across the region. This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in self-perform work, including water, sewer, and storm utility installations, site development, concrete, and roadway construction. The Superintendent will be responsible for field operations, crew management, subcontractor oversight, safety compliance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct and manage all field activities for heavy civil, utility, and site development projects.
• Supervise crews performing installation of water, sewer, storm utilities, concrete structures, earthwork, and paving operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Monitor and enforce jobsite safety programs in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Track daily production, labor, and equipment utilization while reporting progress to project management.
• Problem-solve in the field to minimize delays and maintain workflow.
• Lead and mentor field staff, ensuring proper training and development of foremen and crews.
• Support project closeout by verifying completion of punch lists and ensuring quality standards are met.
