Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1940 - $1990 Key Job Details - Ohio Nursing Contract Location : Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs) Setting : Med / Surg Telemetry (Mixed Acuity - Progressive Care Unit and Medical-Surgical patients) Unit : 21 East and West, Head & Neck and Neuro-Oncology Assignment Type : Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract) Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 12-hour nights (19 : 00 - 07 : 30), 3 shifts / week (36 hours / week) Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Orientation : 1 week dayshift classroom, 36 hours on-unit with preceptor Self-Scheduling : Requests accepted; final schedule determined by facility (flexibility required) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Med / Surg Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit preferred) Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state RN license required) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required EPIC charting experience required Clinical skills : IV starts, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy management Ability to float to units of equal or lower acuity Two professional references (one from a manager / director or formal leader) Oncology nursing experience preferred Previous travel nursing experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) RN Responsibilities - Med / Surg Telemetry Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and oncology needs Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage IVs, and perform tracheostomy care (including suctioning and inner cannula changes) Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy (if certified) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services Implement infection prevention protocols and patient fall precautions Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system Float to other Med / Surg Oncology units as required Participate in orientation and ongoing education to maintain clinical competencies Apply now to join our healthcare team in Columbus, Ohio and take the next step in your nursing career!
