Ensure successful construction of units as defined in customers' sales.
Understand and absorb all specifications within the selection sheets and drawings.
Develop and maintain schedules for site work and project timelines.
Identify unresolved design issues sufficiently in advance to allow proper resolution.
Communicate with the City Inspector and ensure all inspection requirements are met.
Be a team player with the Project Manager, willing to tackle any challenges.
Have plans and specifications available at all times and keep them current.
Attire
- Hard hat to be worn daily.
- Khaki pants preferred; jeans without rips or stains are acceptable.
- Steel toe shoes / boots are required; puncture-proof and steel toe preferred.
- Safety vest to be worn daily.
- Tape measure available at all times.
Construction
Order materials in accordance with plans and specifications.Perform footer and foundation wall construction, ensuring dimensions and options adhere to plans daily.Conduct daily walk-through of the project / site with a tape measure, ensuring plans and specifications are followed.Perform framing dimension checks on all projects, indicating measurements on Unit Framing Sheets in ASI 42.Develop a framing checklist for use prior to close-in, complete it for each unit, and ensure it is checked off.Label all door openings, flooring types, and cabinet layouts during framing before MEP phases begin.Order and schedule all unit finishes such as millwork, flooring, painting, and electrical work.Develop and maintain finishing and walk-through inspections.Perform quantity takeoffs for items like trim, siding, and stone deliveries, and confirm accurate quantities upon delivery.Inspect the work of finish trades to ensure quality and adherence to scope of work.Maintain daily lists of items needing correction and ensure they are addressed.Coordinate work and quality control with plumbers, electricians, and HVAC contractors.Inspect progress of each unit daily, walking through each room.Secure the site at the end of each day and ensure site security.Keep the job site clean and organized.Coordinate receiving, unloading, and storage of materials.Control costs and ensure effective use of resources.Record daily logs including pictures and man-hours.Pre and Post Occupancy
