We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Burbank, California. This role involves overseeing essential accounting functions including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes while ensuring accuracy in financial data management.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and record routine and complex journal entries as part of the monthly closing process.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Analyze financial results to identify unusual activity and propose corrective actions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing detailed financial data and insights.
- Perform financial analysis to highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize SyteLine software to input data and generate comprehensive daily and monthly reports.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management tasks as needed.
- Project weekly cash receipts to support financial planning and operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the annual 401(k) audit under managerial supervision.
- Collaborate with the accounting manager on annual audits and compliance reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles and practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting functions.
- Proficiency in journal entries, fluctuation analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred qualifications include CPA certification, experience in public company reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and manufacturing cost accounting.
