Responsibilities Position is in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit of a tertiary care hospital Night shifts, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Patient ratio ranges from 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties required Float to other units as needed Uses Epic for charting; prior Epic proficiency is required Duties include management of patients requiring telemetry and rapid response intervention Must collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed Expected to care for patients with varying levels of medical complexity requiring noninvasive respiratory support Floating between Med / Surg and other comparable units may be required Dress code is any combination of navy and white scrubs Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start and may take up to 10 hours Return staff must have been away at least 1 year before being considered RTO (requested time off) must be approved at time of consideration Holiday and weekend work may be required as per unit needs Requirements Active NY RN license in hand at time of application Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Med / Surg Telemetry setting Current BLS certification required Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias IV therapy and peripheral line management skills required Experience with isolation precautions and management of respiratory support devices Proficiency with Epic EMR is required Applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616696.
