- Project Lead
- to oversee and coordinate on-site crews for voice and data installation projects. This role ensures each project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Youll supervise daily work, train team members, and serve as the main point of contact for both the project manager and the customer.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise on-site project crews to ensure efficient performance and safety.
- Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to meet productivity, quality, and budget goals.
- Complete project documentation such as timesheets, material transfers, work orders, and change orders.
- Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate as-built drawings.
- Serve as the on-site customer contact for questions, updates, and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and communication.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Required Tools
Familiarity with and ability to use :
- Basic tools
- : screwdrivers, drywall saw, tape measure, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves.
- Trade tools
- : punch tools, crimp tools, volt-ohmmeter, continuity tester, butt set, and similar telecom tools.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 3+ years of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
- At least 6 months of supervisory or lead experience.
- Ability to terminate fiber and read blueprints.
- Strong understanding of universal communications color codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
- Distinguish color codes and read small print.
- Work in a variety of field environments safely and efficiently.
