We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (BSN) to serve as the primary MAT nursing team member working on-site at a MD Correctional Facility. This critical role supports the implementation and continuity of the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program , delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals experiencing opioid use disorder while incarcerated.
The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate medication induction and continuation , perform clinical assessments, and support coordinated care within the correctional setting.

Schedule : Monday - Friday (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM)
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the on-site MAT nurse within the jail, acting as the primary liaison for MAT-related care.
- Facilitate medication induction and continuation for arriving clients participating in the MAT program.
- Conduct nursing assessments , including vital signs, medical history review, and urinalysis for new referrals.
- Administer injections and ensure proper documentation of all treatments.
- Participate in and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings to support individualized care planning.
- Coordinate and facilitate remote medical appointments in collaboration with internal and external providers.
- Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions in accordance with institutional guidelines and protocols.
- Document all clinical activity in accordance with DRC Bureau of Medical Services (BOMS) guidelines and applicable ACA standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and support general health needs of incarcerated individuals, as directed.
- Support medical quality oversight initiatives, accepting feedback and clinical guidance from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and BOMS Medical Director.
- May be required to provide services at multiple facilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required).Active RN license to practice in the state of Maryland.Current CPR and BLS certification (required).Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience .At least one year of RN experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, long-term care facility, or similar setting preferred.Correctional or rehabilitation nursing experience is preferred .Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse healthcare professionals and correctional staff.Strong clinical documentation and technical writing skills to support compliance and training.Demonstrated competence in clinical assessments , chronic disease management, and medication administration in secure environments.Criminal Background check and Drug Screening are requiredPreferred Skills :
