We’re seeking a Mechanical Drafter / Designer to support our Kenner, LA facility. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong 2D and 3D drafting experience, a sharp mechanical eye, and the drive to turn complex ideas into detailed, accurate manufacturing drawings. What We're Looking For :
- Education : Associate degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting
- Experience : 1-3 years of relevant experience in 2D mechanical drafting and 3D solid modeling for development of manufacturing prints including detailed dimensioning and tolerances
- Superb micrometer and other precision measurement skills
- Knowledge of machining operations preferred
- Tech-Savvy : Proficient in MS Office; ability to adapt to technology-driven tools; CMM experience is a plus
- Detail-Oriented : A keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards
- Collaborative : Effective at influencing work performance and fostering teamwork without direct authority
- Safety-Minded : Committed to upholding health and safety standards in all aspects of work
- Results-Driven : A proactive approach to completing assignments in a timely manner
- Organizational Skills : Excellent at simultaneously managing large file and information sets in a dynamic environment
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Responsibilities :
Develop manufacturing and machining prints for parts and components used in mechanical equipmentInspect parts using precision measuring equipment (0.001” tolerance or less)Collaborate with Machine Shop Coordinator and other shop personnelUphold health and safety standards; represent Conhagen professionallyAdhere to company regulations and protocols.Other duties as requiredWorking Conditions :
