Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Assistant Controller will have oversight and responsibility for the monthly financial close and financial reporting, internal controls, annual audit, GAAP research and compliance, and transactions processing improvements.

In this role, you will :

• Lead the annual audit and be the working liaison with the external audit firm.
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and account reconciliations, maintain accounting records, maintain multiple charts of accounts, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Research GAAP topics and prepare / review technical accounting whitepapers.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls, processes and procedures to safeguard assets, ensure compliance, and promote operational efficiency.
• Lead mergers and acquisitions due diligence projects and purchase accounting.
• Lead the Accounting team through complex systems implementations from defining requirements through go-live and post-implementation support.
• Develop and mentor a high-performance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Establish and continuously improve business processes and technology to drive scalability and efficiency.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting exercises.
