s an Electrician 1st Class, you will be responsible for the core electrical work on our production equipment and facility infrastructure, from the main power distribution to machine control panels. You'll use your expertise to keep our complex systems running smoothly, ensuring minimal downtime.
Ball Plant III (BP3) specializes in Cast Urethane golf ball operations (GBO). It is a large, clean, and temperature-controlled facility with over 650 associates operating on a 5-shift, 7-day-per-week schedule across three shifts
Compensation & Work Environment
Pay Rate : $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule : BP3 operates 3 shifts, 7 days a week. You will be required to work a minimum of one weekend day per week. Sunday work is paid at double time.
Overtime : Overtime is mandatory as it is considered an essential function of this job.
Training : Training may be assigned to a shift other than your "home" shift for a set period.
Tools : Employees must provide their basic trade-related hand tools (e.g., wrenches, half-inch drives). Specialized or more skilled tools are provided by the company.
What You'll Do (Primary Responsibilities)
Installation & Maintenance (50%) : Install and maintain all types of electrical equipment, including switch gears, lighting panels, new equipment, and the entire electrical distribution system. Your background must be industrial with experience in power distribution.
Preventative Maintenance (25%) : Execute scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PMs) on both electrical and general production equipment to maximize lifespan and performance.
Troubleshooting & Controls (20%) : Maintain and expertly troubleshoot PLC and control systems as needed to diagnose and resolve production issues quickly.
Maintain accurate work records (work orders, PMs, materials) using our computerized maintenance system.

Responsibilities
Required Credentials & Experience :
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical trade.
Must possess a Journeyman or Master Electrician License. Licensure in Massachusetts is mandatory.
Vocational High School preferred, with 1-2 years of electronic technology training (formal training in AC / DC circuits, CMOS, TTL, and Digital Logic troubleshooting is a plus).
