What You Will Do to Change Lives
Under direct supervision, serves as a primary support and case manager to provide screening, assessment, and assist in linking services needed by members served and their family to overcome the crisis which brought them into the program.
About the Program : The Merrill Center is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) that offers 24 / 7 services to adults and youth. The Merrill Center aims to increase access to crisis services, reduce inpatient hospitalization, reduce the amount of time that law enforcement is involved in a mental health crisis, and strengthen the existing outpatient behavioral health services.
Schedule Available : 11 PM - 7 : 30 AM NOC, Fridays and Saturdays (0.2 FTE.)
Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $22.86. Salary range is $21.00 - $25.15. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
We pay differentials!!! The differential rates are paid at six percent (6%) of an employee's base rate of pay for the evening (PM) shift, and ten percent (10%) of the base rate of pay for the night shift (NOC). Weekend differential rates are paid at five percent (5%) of an employee's base rate of pay for the day (AM) shift, eleven percent (11%) of the base rate of pay for the evening (PM) shift and fifteen percent (15%) of an employee's base rate of pay for the night (NOC) shift.
POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and / or changed at the discretion of management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
o At least thirty semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in behavioral or social science, or
o Sixty semester (90 quarter) units of completed college coursework, which includes 15 semester (23 quarter) units in behavioral science, Psych Tech courses and Alcohol and Drug Certificate courses are acceptable.
o AND one (1) year experience providing mental health services including interviewing and referring participants and performing crisis intervention, or
o Three (3) years of experience in a behavioral health department which involved direct participant contact, or
o Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science and six (6) months experience providing mental health services including interviewing and referring participants and performing crisis intervention.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, lift, and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less as well as to frequently sit, walk, reach, bend, and do simple and power grasping. The position requires driving and frequent hazardous exposure (blood borne pathogens, hospital waste, chemicals, and infections).
