EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 1-year related Laboratory experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Description :
The E-Coat Quality Lab Technician is responsible for interpreting and applying a variety of technical laboratory procedures to perform tests and accurately record results to ensure the quality of the product being produced and delivered to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Receive, label, test and evaluate resins, dispersions, tank wagons and materials used on site in support of site operating areas
- Execute laboratory testing according to area operating procedures and test methods, make observations and interpret findings, i.e. Adhere to application procedures.
- Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility to produce electronic and written test records, i.e. use / learn software applied in the lab, such as SAP or written test card
- Adhere to work instructions and apply test methods to ensure the reliability and repeatability of the procedure to ensure product evaluations represent the true product quality.
- Maintain complete, accurate and transparent records; provide records to our internal and external customers as well as government agencies if needed
- Follow verbal or written work instruction
- Maintain various lab equipment
- Assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Participate and support Preventative Maintenance and Calibration of sensitive laboratory equipment used to analyze samples
- Maintain an environment that is neat and orderly to comply with 5S housekeeping standards
- Adherence to site lab safety practices and national lab safety engineering standards
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple high priority tasks critical to meeting customer demand
