Overnight Lead ABA Counselor Overview
The Overnight Lead ABA Counselor is responsible for overseeing nightly operations in the RTF, and ensuring a high level of care for residents who may be awake or asleep during the overnight hours. The Overnight Lead ABA Counselor is responsible for monitoring systems of care and the collection of data. Overnight Lead ABA Counselors are also expected to take the appropriate level of supervision for residents during times of vacancies or short staffing. They are responsible for knowing each resident’s Behavior Support Plan and providing feedback to other staff members regarding accurate implementation of these plans when necessary. The Overnight Lead ABA Counselor will also collaborate with administrators to discuss and enhance systems of care during the overnight hours.
Schedule and Salary Information
- Starting Rate : $19.50 / hour (+) based on years of direct relevant experience
- Wednesday- Saturday 10p-8a
Requirements
High School Diploma requiredMust meet the minimum age requirement of twenty-one (21) years old.Valid US drivers licensePrefer at least one (1) year experience with specialized populations.Overnight Lead ABA Counselor Responsibilities
Communicates information in a timely manner and immediately records medical information and unusual incidences. Provides documentation of significant events as requested in special circumstances (e.g., Behavior Incident Reports (BIR), Accident / Injury Reports (A / I), seizure reports, or statements related to staff or client concerns).Ensures proper implementation of the Bedchecker software program and troubleshoots any difficulties that interfere with data collection.Oversees completion of house specific chore lists and assists with chores when needed; including daily laundry, deep cleaning of appliances, bathrooms, and common areas.Actively communicates with administrators to address any challenges that arise during the overnight hours, and proposes solutions for overcoming those challenges and enhancing resident care. Communicates with the Program Manager or Administrator on Call when a situation requires immediate attention and consultation.Monitors the performance of Overnight ABA Counselors to ensure accurate implementation of resident Behavior Support Plans and Protocol Summaries.Responds appropriately, when needed, to assist when residents are exhibiting dangerous challenging behavior (i.e., utilizing only approved behavioral safety techniques, being calm and composed, or acting quickly to protect others) as indicated in the behavioral safety training curriculum or each individual’s Protocol Summary or Behavior Support Plan (BSP).When needed, maintains Level of Supervision (LOS) for assigned individual(s) at all times. Requests assistance from a coworker or supervisor if assigned LOS cannot be maintained for any length of time.Benefits
