Location

Hybrid role with regular onsite working days in San Jose, CA preferred. Other locations may be considered.

Our Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our Document Automation & Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) business. This is a high‑impact, customer‑facing leadership role with accountability for sales growth, revenue delivery, and market leadership. The GM will be both a strategic driver and a hands‑on sales leader — shaping go‑to‑market strategy, engaging directly with customer executives, and serving as the product SME in strategic sales cycles and a thought leader in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the business : full accountability for bookings, ACV, and growth of the Document Automation & IDP business.
  • Set strategy : identify build strategies for product sales and expansion leveraging multiple sales channels across vertical and horizontal markets.
  • Market leadership : position Automation Anywhere’s product offerings as a leader in the IDP industry through marketing, analyst relations, and industry presentations.
  • Enablement : partner with Sales Enablement to ensure AEs have the tools to pitch offerings and hold them accountable.
  • Drive sales cycles : engage C‑level executives, present value propositions, and guide complex enterprise deals to closure.
  • Product SME : act as subject matter expert in customer meetings linking business needs with solution capabilities.
  • Product enhancement : influence product development and marketing teams to drive best product‑market fit.
  • Expand adoption : work with Customer Success to deliver deployments that bring tangible outcomes and drive cross‑sell / upsell.
  • Scale GTM motions : build repeatable solution plays, industry use cases, and win themes for priority industries.
  • Build & lead teams : assemble a cross‑functional team to deliver results.
  • Partner ecosystem : strengthen relationships with system integrators, BPOs, and technology partners to drive pipeline.
  • Thought leadership : represent the company at industry events, analyst briefings, and executive forums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 15+ years of enterprise software experience, with significant time in automation, AI, or intelligent document solutions.
  • Deep expertise in Document Automation and IDP, especially with recent AI advances.
  • Proven record of driving enterprise sales cycles, closing large deals, and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C‑level leaders.
  • Hands‑on product and solution expertise enabling consultative, value‑based selling.
  • Experience building and scaling global GTM organizations with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Track record of delivering customer outcomes and ROI‑driven success stories.

  • Compensation & Benefits

    The salary range or on‑target earnings is $390,000 – $440,000 a year, plus equity and a full range of medical and other benefits. Eligible for unlimited personal time off, 12 holidays per year, volunteer time off, and company‑funded achievement days.
