The Accounting Assistant i s responsible for all aspects of AR and file maintenance, relating to cash application and reconciliation, invoice and credit transactions and bank reconciliations for AR receipts.

D ownload daily the ROA report from the day before and apply all CC transactions
Daily deposits
Every morning, check bank for ACH / wires and Lockbox Deposits
Post all ACH / wires to proper payment location
Post all lockbox deposits before the end of the day or within 24 hours.
Make note on the account for any overpayments
Send any Lien releases / account correspondence to Credit Admin istrators
Post any returned checks or Credit Card Chargebacks
Apply credit requests from branch admins daily
Send out requests for refunds daily - ensure original check pulled / reason for refund
Clean up A / R account as necessary
Pre-Closing
P rocess and record all cash transactions received before the end of the day
All checks, ACH's, Wire and cash must be posted before closing
Apply all Warranty credits from the current month
Apply all Parts and Commission credits from the current month
Run miscellaneous reports as requested by management

1-2 Years Accounts Receivable, Accounting or Finance experience
Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance
