Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Roundsman in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a PATROL_UNARMED officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Through routine patrols, you remain visible to provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and assist with security-related needs as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with staff and visitors to answer questions, provide directions, and address concerns while maintaining security-related protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the healthcare location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be vaccinated as required by the hospital client.
  • Must be able to work in environments that include exposure to hospital morgue areas.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to assist in restraining individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • Should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
