About The Position

Position Overview :

San Juan BOCES is seeking experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) to support K–12 students in a school-based setting. The role includes evaluating students, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance students’ functional performance within the educational environment.

Note : School-based experience is strongly preferred. However, all applicants must have prior experience working with pediatric populations.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess students’ needs and develop individualized therapy goals as part of their IEP

Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with state and federal guidelines

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff, families, and administrators

Provide support and education to staff to promote student independence and participation

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license – Required

Pediatric experience – Required

School-based experience – Preferred
