Position Summary :

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to manage staff schedules, ensure adequate shift coverage, and support daily staffing operations. This individual will work closely with nursing supervisors and HR to maintain efficient staffing for our residents’ care needs.

Responsibilities :

Create, maintain, and adjust nursing staff schedules

Ensure shifts are fully staffed in accordance with state regulations and facility needs

Coordinate coverage for call-outs, vacations, and leaves

Communicate schedule changes effectively with staff and leadership

Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records

Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires

Participate in daily staffing meetings and report staffing levels

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred

Previous scheduling or healthcare staffing experience (LTC facility preferred)

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Proficient with scheduling software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Ability to handle urgent situations with professionalism and calm

Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
