Role Overview
They are seeking experienced Drywall Carpenters to join their field installation teams in Orlando and Tampa. You’ll be responsible for layout, framing, and installation of drywall systems on a variety of commercial projects, working alongside experienced leads and foremen.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install metal and wood framing for walls, partitions, soffits, ceilings, and bulkheads
- Install gypsum wallboard and related components with precision
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assist with layout, coordination, and sequencing of framing and drywall work
- Install backing, blocking, and specialty framing for doors, windows, and fixtures
- Ensure structural integrity, level, and alignment of installations
- Collaborate with other trades to meet schedule and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
- Report progress, challenges, and material needs to the site foreman
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a drywall carpenter or commercial framerStrong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall installation, and commercial construction practicesAbility to read and work from plans and layout drawingsSkilled with power tools and hand tools used in drywall and framing workAttention to detail and commitment to craftsmanshipReliable, punctual, and safety-consciousAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust have your own basic hand tools and reliable transportationBenefits & Perks
