Responsibilities Position is based in a hospital Family Birthing Center Labor & Delivery unit with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care Care for mothers and newborns, including high-risk pregnancies and newborn stabilization 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00-19 : 00), three days per week Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required Use of Epic EMR system; on-site training available Responsibilities include triage of obstetric patients, labor assessment, fetal monitoring, medication administration, immediate newborn stabilization, and postpartum care Must be able to assist with newborn screenings, medication administration, IV starts, and stabilization of critically ill newborns No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility Must wait one year after permanent employment at this health system to be reconsidered as a traveler First-time travelers are accepted Orientation includes required testing and initial training Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Certifications required : BLS (from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) testing during the first week of assignment; failing twice results in dismissal Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620398.
