job_description.job_card.job_descriptionLead the branch wellness team in implementing the Association's best practice model for excellence in wellness programming and operations. Develops and manages the Wellness budget Responsible for branch personal training and Active Older Adult programming Coordinates and collaborates with other staff to develop and implement interdepartmental programs for members and the community Develops and oversees risk management for wellness facility to ensure facility is clean, safe, and equipment in good repair. Recruits and collaborates with YMCA staff (team members) to enhance and strengthen all programs. Attends all required branch and association meetings. Participates / coordinates special events and fundraising efforts. Promotes and markets Wellness Programs to the surrounding community.

Full-time exempt
$44,000 - commensurate with experience
Competitive benefit package including 85% paid medical, dental and vision. Complimentary membership and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
Qualifications :
- The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five-years' experience working within a Wellness / Fitness department, including supervisory experience
- An undergraduate degree (or advanced degree) in exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition, or physical education or relevant professional experience.
- Must have current first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications
- Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, computer skills, ability to learn propriety software, payroll processing, scheduling and general office equipment.
- Flexible work schedule with the availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
